Dr. Suzan Farhang-Sardroodi is a Research Associate in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Toronto. She received her PhD in Physics, where her doctoral research focused on evolutionary dynamics in heterogeneous microenvironments, with applications to tumor growth. During her postdoctoral training, she applied mathematical and computational modeling to investigate complex biological systems, including cancer cachexia, infectious disease dynamics, and immunology. Her current research integrates pharmacokinetics, psychiatric genetics, and systems pharmacology to investigate concurrent psychiatric disorders. She advances her work through interdisciplinary approaches that combine artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and mechanistic modeling to support translational research in mental health and the development of precision medicine.
